My rough math tells me Stage 1 is good for 450-475whp on E45-50 all year round.

Which will be plenty for me bc I doubt there’s anyway I can keep all my temps in check running more than that kind of power during 30-45min track sessions during the middle of summer.

Everyone getting all these new HPFP’s is like a new chapter for the N55!

Yeah, sticking on the conservative side bc I need it to hold up for 45min on a 95-100F summer track day. IAT management is going to be key with the added power.

And, I just got some very timely feedback from Wagner regarding IAT management: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1694925

First Revision Update

Logged my first revision with CaryTheLabelGuy (JordanTuning) last night on a "closed track". Although I won't post my log details quite yet (this is not a “JordanTuned” Thread), I can definitely state the Dorch Engineering HPFP is W E L L worth the hype and money!!

ALL pulls were on same log....back...to...back...to...back...to...back

FUEL: Shittiest possible 91oct

At 100% Throttle (mashed to floor):

1st Pull

3rd Gear:
RPM: 2500 - 6626
HPFP PSI: 2904 - 2920
MPH: 31 - 75

Shifted to 4th Gear:
RPM: 5977 - 6681
HPFP PSI: 2740 - 2892
MPH: 79 - 96

2nd Pull

3rd Gear:
RPM: 2588 - 6541
HPFP PSI: 2619 - 2802
MPH: 29 - 78

Shifted to 4th Gear:
RPM: 5770 - 6546
HPFP PSI: 2819 - 2906
MPH: 82 - 94

3rd Pull

3rd Gear:
RPM: 2731 - 6724
HPFP PSI: 2909 - 2935
MPH: 31 - 76

Shifted to 4th Gear:
RPM: 5923 - 6668
HPFP PSI: 2697 - 2864
MPH: 80 - 98

4th Gear Pull into Speed Pull

4th Gear
RPM: 2251 - 6518
HPFP PSI: 2891- 2925
MPH: 32 - 93

Shifted to 5th Gear:
RPM: 5590 - 6504
HPFP PSI: 2717 - 2902
MPH: 97 - 121

Shifted to 6th Gear:
RPM: 5593 - 5564 (point I let off)
HPFP PSI: 2756 - 2889
MPH: 123 - 134

For those who plan on keeping the car. I can’t stress enough how important an LSD is!! At no point did I ever feel the car oversteer (kick the backend out). Loosing traction propelled me straight and forward ..

Who did you choose to do the install. And, since it sounds like your first time there, what were your impressions.

Thanks

Capped at 17psi to start. Revision I just received will start increasing boost.

Starting with 91oct (shittiest possible octane as well), then when map is complete, we'll start on a e50 map.....

Hmm...you know, I'm not sure...haven't really paid attention. I'll listen tonight, but I'd imagine it'd have to be.

3/2 Update: e40 1st Revision

Ok, currently on 1st revision of e40 Map. Not able to get to e50 due to the absolutely bullshit octane I have here. DEFINITELY ALL HANDS ON DECK tho!!

I'm definitely full of shit about that whole "loosing traction propelled me straight and forward" nonsense I wrote in the 2nd post. 3rd gear pulls are impossible as the oversteer swings my ass to the left as tho my rear end wants to see what's going on up front. Can't imagine the shit show without LSD!!

Switched to 4th gear pulls into 5th to 110mph. Pump held to 2881psi at 20psi boost

Back....to....back......to......back pulls

Too much torque. Dial it down and add that power to mid and top end.
