Cutting Power On Tune Question

So i have a 328i LCI with the n26, currently, on BM3 Stage 2 ACN and the following mods are chargepipe and downpipe and FMIC coming in the next 2 weeks. Now when the car is warm enough i do a pull usually with ambient temps of around 63 (so later in the night) to not overheat the motor since I'm still on stock FMIC. It runs weird on the first run so it cuts power top end like 6k rpm when I'm foot down on the pedal but then on the second run it doesn't seem choppy at all. Can anyone give a possible diagnosis without any logs just to see possible problems. Now my theory is that when I'm top end the IAT's are high and it cuts power to save the engine but the car isn't even running hot at all.
(EDIT): Max cooling on bm3 is also enabled

You need an intercooler for stage 2. Anything bigger than stock. I bet you money that you are faster stage 1 than 2 without intercooler due to car pulling timing from the car heating up too fast.

I could do 2 pulls and the car would heat soak sun be slower. Any intercooler is better than the stock intercooler.
