Anyone know what happens if I run a piggyback like Active8 on top of Bootmod3? Have not seen an answer on the faq.

Why would you? Just get a BM3 custom tune.

That is 100% pointless, and recipe for mandatory engine replacement. If you have the AA8, sell it to subsidize BM3 (that's what I did).

This makes no sense whatsoever.

I'd add a JB4 on top just to be sure...

Dont do it.

Original

OEM = OEM
OTS = Based on the BM3 OTS map that was used to make the tune
Original = Tuner's recipe
Custom = User adjustable

For a long time EURO 95 has been equal to E5.
This was equal to the 91 Octane maps.

Recently EURO 95 has been changed to E10 (so more ethanol) compared to before.
Are the 91 Octane maps still the best mapping or do I need to consider a different map?

Here in Norway the change doesn't happen until 2020 as far as I understand. But I guess you/we need to send some logs to PTF running on the new E10-based fuel so that can adjust the OTS maps or create an alternative version for Europe if necessary.

US 91oct has always been e10. I'd say it'll help the car run better, but still stay with the 91 map.

They just released an update on the S63 engines. Not sure if we're what they're focusing on now. I'd guess they're working on support for g-series/supra stuff.

So I just noticed that they have released the ACN91 tune for the shitty gas we get in California. I plan on flashing my car with BM3 very soon and I was looking forward to the standard 91 octane stage 1 gains. However, now its recommended that California residents flash the ACN91 Stage 1 tune instead of the standard 91 octane which is bumming me out a bit because I dont know how much lower the power gains will be. Now, what I was wondering is if I use boostane professional per fill up with the 91-93 ratio will that compensate for the lower quality gas and allow me to safely use the standard 91 octane tune?

Most people that don't want to run the ACN map will mix some e85 to make 93. Or just run the E30 map.

Right but my area doesn't have any e85 pumps nearby that's convenient in any way. Boostane seems like a viable option to me I was just wondering if anyone has experience with it and if I can get some pointers regarding running 91 octane with boostane in California with the standard stage 1 91 tune to balance out the crappy gas.

The other thing I forgot to mention in our messages is that you can try the normal 91 tune and collect logs. I had to start running ACN91 because I was seeing some knocking on regular driving and was hitting a knock every time I did a wot pull from 3k, after going to ACN 91 Iím not seeing any more knock events and my timing is still fairly clean.

Gotcha that makes sense. The reason im asking around so much is because I know 2 people with stage 2 91 tunes in the LA area and both of them run the regular 91 octane. I don't have contact with them too much so I figured Id ask around to get some input from a couple people. I think im gonna play it safe and stick with the ACN91 tho.

Iíd run a log if you donít want to run ACN maps. slight power just to get more wear on the engine isnít ideal. Fill up a tank and add octane boosters and see if it helps. Logs are the only way to tell. Or even consider storing e85 at home if possible.

You will definitely want to run the ACN91 map because our gas is unbelievably shit here in CA. I had consistent knock events in my logs on the normal Stage 1 91 map which went away when I switched to the ACN91.

Having said that, it still transforms the car and it's significantly faster than stock. The torque is addicting and the BM3 adjustability is great.
