light weight 18 inch wheels

I would like some recommendations on light weight 18 inch wheels to replace my 400M's. I know most move to 19's but I like the look of the larger tire wall and want the lower weight. What do you think?

BC Forged RS series imo are the best 18in wheels for the money

for $2250 you get custom one piece forged wheels

Apex EC-7s are pretty light and inexpensive. They also look great on the F30.

Avant Garde has a couple wheels available in 18-inch...the M310 and M359 are two examples.

As far as 18s go, if you like the look of the Apex wheels (and who doesn't), there really are no options that even come close in the $300 price range for light weight and quality. I did a ton of research over the past few months, and just ordered a set of ARC-8s in 18x9 et 42... They weigh a mere 18.65# each.

Forgeline, Volk Racing, Advan, CCW, Work, Fikse, BBS. Can't go wrong with any of these brands, and their primary focus is weight.

Frankly, I have no clue what some of these off-brands you guys recommend are, nor have I heard of them...and this has been my primary hobby for the last 17 years.

Apex is an off-brand?
Some of those brands you mentioned are full-forged, and nice, but very expensive. Others I haven't heard of (e.g. Work, CCW?)

I know all the brands you mentioned since I have owned a few of them in the past, but they average 3 to 4 times more then Apex wheels in price.

Also I am shocked you have not heard of Apex wheels being a BMW fanatic for so long since they have been very popular in the E46 and E90 crowd and are race proven.

Check out OZ on tire rack. I will have some pics up soon with the Superturismos on my F31 as my winter setup. They make some nice, light wheels.

OZs are pretty wheels but the affordable ones are cast and weaker per pound than flow-formed or forged options.

Amen, all OZ wheels are TUV certified just like BMW OEM, BBS, HRE, and few others.
