Doesn't get any more "safe" (if there's such a thing) than a Flash Tuned "Limp Mode". When you work with Flash Tuning, you're changing the DME/ECU's ACTUAL tables (this is why it's important your tuner knows what he's looking at and knows the vehicles platform). Jb4 just "tricks" the DME/ECU into "scenarios"...precisely why Jb4 HAS to have failsafes (Limpmode is the last and final failsafe, you hit that on Jb4...you got PROBLEMS!!) No, my car was sent to ENZO (New York) as their Test Mule for the PureTurbo S2 Flash. The DME/ECU had just been "Unlocked/Figured Out" with VERY limited tables found or known, so back then, flashing was in it's VERY early stages as I was a handful of guys who "took the plunge". After it was said and done, ENZO discovered (I think early on...just didn't tell me) he couldn't develop a "Flash Only" tune and needed Jb4 as the "boost controller" - Custom Map 6. After discussing online with ACF (Ricardo and Alex - [Alex is no longer part of ACF]) we decided to meet up in Vegas at SEMA. They pulled the DME, re-unlocked and flashed their magic. REALLY transformed the car. I just email my logs for Ricardo to view, adjust/correct whats needed, he emails the completed "Map File" back (or he can directly upload into "My Maps" via bm3). He can literally tune my car from anywhere in the world... Like I stated, there's a couple of guys in the bm3 platform that absolutely know their shit!! My opinion, NO ONE has put in the reverse engineering and development like Dzenan has at proTuning Freaks (PTF) to bring bm3 to market. Truly incredible...quite frankly, I wouldn't allow anyone who wasn't on bm3's platform to even touch my car as they're limiting you to just their Maps. In my opinion, it's really the difference between thinking in 2D vs 3D. Rant over..... .

Have you dyno'd your car with the BM3/ACF tunes yet? With either pump or e30? I'm currently running e35 and thinking of going Ps2/BM3 with stock fuel in the short term.
Thanks.

Thank you! No real updates.. ACF went somewhat dark as Ricardo hasn't responded to me or a few people I've recommended. ProTuning Freaks (PTF) does have a few "dealers" listed in South Africa which can be found HERE . I'd recommend reaching out to one of them... Hope that helps! .

Ordered a few weeks ago and will be shipping soon!
I went with this unit and company due to their support and being physically located in North America. Read FAR too many horror stories about AVIN to ultimately consider, not to mention their customer support issues. Beginning my research I emailed AVINUSA a month prior to purchasing...took them 3-1/2 weeks to reply vs 36hr response from 4x4ca. AVINUSA's reply was without substance other than to caution me against "Other Vendors"... 4x4ca answered all my questions and numerous follow-up questions prior to me pulling the trigger....so far so good .. . .

will this allow you to get apple car play? Or would that be a separate module? I am going to research this unit as well now.
EDIT: anddd just saw car play apps after watching the video lol So youre telling me for $500 i can get car play and a 10.25 inch screen? Isn't this a no brainer?

LOL! Well, it's $499 for the First Gen Android 4.4 Version Quad Core 1 GB RAM/ 16 GB Storage - Plus $100 for CarPlay Dongle I opted for the new PX6 Android 8.1 Version 6 Core with 2GB RAM /32GB HD ($120 extra) - Plus the $100 CarPlay Dongle HERE'S the link... For me it was a no brainer as I've been waiting for something like this (with quality) for awhile as I travel a bit March - Oct .

Even at $720...great deal. Defeats the purpose of going to ID6 or whatever.

Think of it as an 10.25 touch screen with Android operating system built in. I to have the iPhone X. The "AutoKit" android app is what "pairs" your phone via CarPlay to the screen. The dongle is just the "pathway" as it now supports Android Auto and Apple Mirroring... You wouldn't even necessarily have to utilize the dongle as you can download the Apps you mostly use to the head unit and "hot spot" to your phone. Obviously by utilizing CarPlay you have access to your Contacts and iMessage and can respond to your texts verbally (via Siri) .. .

Yes...I'm still going thru the "Testing" phase as this vehicle is not a daily driver...just a "road trip" cruiser. So far, for me...it was money well spent as the head unit's android system has been flawless thus far. CarPlay on the other hand has been somewhat buggy...its been a little better since I downloaded the last update, but still a little buggy. I'll just stick with the head units operating system till CarPlay is figured out.
Here's a little thread I started about my thoughts thus far... .

Great looking build! I wasn't feeling the blue carbon at first, but it quickly grew on me.

750$ for Android unit vs 1250$ for OEM NBT Unless you have your old NBT head unit still available
