255/35-19 front tire
Is anyone running a 255/35-19 tire up front? Are you experiencing any rubbing?
The diameter is 26.03 vs. 25.97 (225/45-18) I'm thinking of going square all around on 19 x 9 inch forgestars |

I've been thinking about going square on 255/30/20 tires (rims 20x9 et35), the diameter comes out to 26.02 and people have told me that I shouldn't get any rubbing on a stock suspension.
If you go to this thread: http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=863395 you can see some people have larger diameters than us without rubbing. http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=851622 diesel86 : 245/40R19 : square diameter 26.72" http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=735984 lowered on H&R springs scott@bmwhn : 245/35R20 : front diameter 26.75" scott@bmwhn : 275/30R20 : rear diameter 26.5" |

The other consideration would be to scale down to a 8.5" wheel... but I think if 255s on 9" wheels fit up front, then this would be the way to go.

Only up to a point... once the wheels/tires get too wide, they can't fit without sticking out of the fenders.
Being that Forgestar offers a wide range of offsets, the question really is whether the 9' wheel with 255 tire will fit at ANY offset without rubbing issues.

I didn't want to risk testing out the theory, so I went 245 front and 255 rear on a square 8.5 setup. The car is seriously tail happy, not sure it needs any more grip in the front xD

I have spoken to the folks at VAC Motorsports (in Philly) and they said they are ready to install a Quaife whenever I bring my car in. I didn't specifically ask about the other two options he mentioned (Wavetrac and OSG), but I imagine they are good to go as well...

OP, is your car an sedan or coupe? I can't tell from the advice given. I've been wondering the same about up front for my coupe and it's my understanding there's less room to work with up front in comparison to the sedan.

What size rim are you running? I am doing a 19” x 8.5” and looking for a good fitting summer tire and I also plan on doing H&R sport springs after. What do you recommend. Btw I have X drive so can I do staggered?

Are you sure about this?
In this thread there's a guy claiming that's his setup. Post #44 https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=797904 |

No one seemed to really be able to answer whether 255/35/19 would fit up front. I'm really hoping it does because I found a great deal on that exact size. Any further imput from anyone would be appreciated. Thx |

in the future please provide as much detail as possible in your question. don't just ask "does it fit?", it's very vague. |
