Head Unit Issues. Lost basic features as well as no bmw logo on startup. Help!

Hello, I have a 2015 BMW 328i, I recently had an issue where my head unit was turning on and off and would not connect to Bluetooth, after research it seemed common and I left it alone for a good bit to see what would happen, woke up yesterday morning and now I only have multimedia (lost Bluetooth entirely and can only use aux and sound,) lost all of my basic widgets and sensors, I cant check my oil level, service lights or access any software update and my BMW logo doesn't show up on startup of the head unit or a restart. I unplugged the battery overnight to see if it was possibly a glitch and it hasn't fixed itself.

My volume controls on the dash and steering also have lost all functionality.

Is this a issue with the code or has my entire IDrive system failed?

Is this something i can code in? As it was working just fine before (excluding the flickering)
On the bright side the flickering and restarting went away

Its a very weird issue, I checked my fuses and havent torn apart the dash to see the connections.

Thanks for reading!

A youtube link to the current state of the unit.

It's probably a bad hard drive. The usual fix is a new, or used, HU.

Now, forgive me for my lack of knowledge as i am not used to these newer BMW’s. Would the head unit be the screen or the unit behind the dash? FYI, I do also have the camcom unit in the rear.

It would be nice if there was a drop in HDD but I've not been able to find one yet.

There a a few posts on on hard drive replacement and a few vendors that can do this.

It does mean taking the unit out from behind the console and opening its case up. It’s a reasonably techie process to do so.

Have a read of this

Or this vendor
