I checked the update in comparison to 1.6.8, this version 1.7.1 is from 4th June 2020.

I noticed that when i have my dab-Z dongle connected which will play music immediateley after boot the sound is now silent again.
But as soon as is active press on the icon it will become loud, also with Spotify when booting and starting spotify first the sound is loud.

Howevery Equalizer app still is not active by default with 3rd party apps.

So maybe other people can check the Sound start behavior and give feedback.

Because most theming stuff is the same for Android 9 and 10.
As theming is a large theme for it self we created a seperate thread to have a better overview of different topics.

Every time I get a call and answer it with the steering wheel button, the screen goes to the car's original interface. The same happens when I end the call with the steering wheel button.......How can I avoid that?

Yep, this is a PX6, not recommended to buy anymore.

Hello, can you tell me if the pendrive needs to be prepared for the upgrade in any way? Does the upgrade file have to be inside the OEM folder? Does the drive have to have a special name?
I have tried with different flash drives and none of them have started the update.
The version I currently have is 1.3.0 which was installed when I bought it from AliExpress.
I was able to change the boot logo and the animation, putting the files in the OEM folder but I read the firmware so I have to leave it in the root of the unit. Can someone give me a hand?

Hi ! recently updated from android 9 to 10 1.2.0 version.
And after that to 1.6.8

But now the sound is horrible. Never got that problem.
I disabled the EQ app (equalizer) because that was new to me. But it didn't help anything.

Should 1.7.1 fix this or anyone else having this problem?
I got a BMW 320i from 2005 maybe that helps.

And I have to say I think the new Dashboard (speedometer) is a little to heavy in comparison with android 9 version

UPDATE: Updated to 1.7.1 but no improvement. Sound with spotify seems to be better but still Tunein Radio awefull sound

Does anybody know how wold be possible to get LTE data while HU is connected to a diagnostic WIFI obd connector?
I am trying to get MHD gauges and logging features while listening to Online music or use Google/Waze maps.
Would also be nice if I could connect Bluetooth OBD diagnostic tool.

You must format it in FAT32 than copy the update file on it without unzipping.

I ve tried now 3 pendrives and no one starts the update. I format them to fat32 but no chance.
I put the KSW without zipping into the pendrive with no other folders

nurif20 hefris , whats the exact Appver string of your units ?

ensure that your file does not have ".zip.zip" as ending by mistake.

otherwhise, show us a screenshot of the thumbdrives content, best with format info.

Android 10 has the same Dashboards for Benz/BMW as Android 9, there are no new dashboards, probably it was just not enabled on your unit.

Headunit is a snapdragon 4gb 64gb rom

There are no mistakes on the pendrive. My Headunit recognizes the usbstick but doesnt want to starte the update. Now im trying again, with a other pendrive

Android 10 has the same Dashboards for Benz/BMW as Android 9, there are no new dashboards, probably it was just not enabled on your unit.

I updated the rooting tool, now it should work more stable, and that annoying CTRL+C bug from the old version should also be gone.

It is now one download containing all files necessary.


The tool should work with PX6 and Snapdragon 625 Units on Android 9 and 10.


As always use at your own risk

Download can be found at Github.

To download click on the green "Code" icon and select "Download ZIP" and download to your Laptop or computer.
Unzip the File into the root of your System for example in a folder called "root", do not unzip it into your Userprofile folder or Desktop !

Connect your Android headunit to the same wireless network as your laptop/computer is connected to.
Start "install-root.bat" and enter the IP adress of your headunit.

Info: do NOT start the batch file ad Administrator, start it normally !
