It's matte black. In artificial light it takes on a gray color. In sunlight it is more subtle. Loving it so far. Took it to a couple shows/meets this weekend and people were digging it, too.

Ahh ok, I got ya. Any chance you could measure the width of both stripes for me please. I wanna try to do it myself

Edit: nvm. From looking at pictures it seems to span from the 1st to the beginning of the 6th and the smaller is two kidney slats

The red stripe has been in place since day 3 of owning these wheels. You can see it in my last picture.
