yeah?? on every car that has this feature it reviews *so* well. i'm dying to try it myself and deathly curious as to whether or not i would leave it on because it's awesome or turn it off because it takes away from the true manual experience. i'm not a pro by any means but i take pride and pleasure in my ability to rev match on down shifts particularly in my current ride which has caca throttle response and a mooshy (i'm exaggerating) dual mass flywheel which i think takes some precision away. having the car do it for you means you nail it every time.. more efficient but that means i'd eventually lose the skill of being able to do that which makes me sad lol.

Thats true, but you have to stay in sports+ all the time for it to be deactivated right?

You can still get a jerk from downshifting if you re-engage clutch really quick and I engine brake all the time. I love the auto rev-match for my long commutes too.

i think i'd be in sport+ all the time anyway. didn't find the ride too harsh at all and thought the throttle response, steering assistance and dampers were all too limp in comfort. having the choice is nice but glad the 3 is still sporty enough in its sportier setting.

Rev match only deactivates when traction control is off. I tried sport+ and it still rev matched. I like it as my previous 335i didn't have it, but I do miss engine breaking.

0.9% + $7500 rebate vs. 3.9% full price is the exact price, monthly, for my manual transmission. As much as I love MT, I realized that for $150 every two weeks, I could at least "try" to live without that third pedal.

We'll see in a couple months.
How does the $7500 rebate work? Do you just get that for free with no strings attached or something?

Well that was a long and painful process... and I dont wish that to anybody lol.

August rebate was 2k on 2017 leases only but managed to get July's rebate for a good $3500 on my purchase for a starter. Then i asked the SA so he gives me his best shot, then I wont need to shop around, so we agreed on another 2k (5500 rebate so far). So I made a purchase offer on a car (a 6MT one ) that was in another dealership on friday night, but they sold it locally over the weekend.

So back to square one, but this time no manuals available with mpacks anymore. And the only 8AT ones had at least premium essentials; which I didnt want at first. So the sales director made amend about the first sale f*ck up and ended up sharing half of the cost of the package; for an additionnal 2k and I got the 18" with Michelin PS2's for free (so 8k rebate total really).

That sounds like a helluva deal. How is the residual so high on the MY18?

yeah that looks like a crazy deal. my latest quote on a MY18 340i RWD was $1076/month all in

residual on a 36mo/24000kms is only 52%. MB is at 59% on the C43. That makes a huge difference in the payment.

Jeez, that's a fantastic deal. I'm going to keep an eye out and try to do the same thing in the next 6-18 months, I'm in the market for an M3/M4.

Just act like a pure MT-cunt like I did and they will most likely fail to deliver. Then, its game-on. I hope that MT will still be an option for M's in the future tho; that's another subject.

I'm not saying your deal is bad, but I never understand the rational for leasing for 4 years. I always lease because I get bored easily, and want the new and greatest. I just leased a 2017 340 Xdrive with M performance 2 (MPPSK) and premium essential. (the MPPSK is fantastic). My lease is for 24 months with 20,000 KMS per year and $780 out the door with zero down. So, my lease will expire just in time to get into the new G20, if I like it. 4 year lease on the out going model, I could not do it.

Worked for me when my 428i GC 6MT got recalled and they couldn't order me another same spec vehicle because BMW Canada didn't offer it anymore... took a month or so until they agreed to put me in a 340i 6MT for no additional cost to me except for the 4 month wait for a production slot and delivery here lol.

good boy. way to set the example. i'm starting to think i'll just hang on until april-june... i figure once the G20 announces they'll be more prone to giving away the MY2018s...

Bump to hear if other people have gotten any good 340 deals. December is around the corner and I'm hoping there will be some good incentives.

Sidebar - BMW Canada's website is absolute garbage for not updating the config with the 2018 340.

I am as well waiting to see what deals will be in December, in October the best i could find was around 810 tax in a month for lease, with options i want. November got nothing for 340i. Agreed on BMW.CA being absolute garbage, we are here towards the end of November and still cant build and price 2018 .
