Question for you DHP experts

I like my gran coupe but honestly it drives more like a luxury car than I expected. In fact, my recollection is it's not much different than a Lincoln MKZ I rented a few months ago...
I've found Sport mode adds some heft to the steering, but also adds the touchy throttle (which I can live with) and the transmission holding onto that lower gear (which bugs me when I'm just cruising). My favorite mode has become Sport mode combined with manual shift mode which generally works best for me although 8 gears can be a pain.
I originally passed on DHP because I have read some poor reviews on variable steering in general and a stiffer suspension didn't interest me on my frequently poor roads in my daily driver. However it seems DHP also adds the ability to configure Sport mode.
So my question is, can you configure Sport steering (and I guess Sport suspension mode is included) while the transmission and throttle stays in Comfort mode? It seems like you can with the drivetrain/chassis split but I'm not sure. If this is the case I'm completely in agreement this is a must have option!

On the F30 (and I believe all of its derivitives) with DHP you can indeed configure the Sport Mode to have the Chassis (which is Steering and Suspension) in the more "aggressive" setting while Drivetrain (transmission) remains in "comfort".

Yeah, but the combination the OP wants isn't possible.

The steering configuration goes along with the suspension configuration - you can't make different choices about the two independently.

Yes.

Chassis = Steering + suspension
Drivetrain = transmission + throttle

Sport mode choices are:
  1. Chassis + Drivetrain
  2. Chassis only

Drivetrain remains in comfort (standard) mode if you set "Chassis only" then select Sport mode. If you set up like this and want temporary sport mode transmission, just flip the transmission lever to the left.

Yes, great info and it's unfortunate I-drive doesn't include configuring Sport mode w/o DHP - my new BMW doesn't really feel like a BMW w/o it
