2015 F31 engine swap ideas

Sooooo, my 2015 F31 (3 series wagon) (sold in Jan 2016), having only 63k miles decided to enter limp mode in middle of my road trip. It was obvious the car had misfire with an audible ticking noise and shakes. If it’s a time chain scenario, then I believe it will fall under extended warranty, however, if it’s something else, then I’m s***t out of luck. I dropped the car at the dealership earlier today and I’m waiting to hear back from them.
So after being miserable for a few hours, an idea occurred to me. In the worst case scenario, I will need a new engine. If I end up having to replace the engine, would it be possible to swap the N20 engine with a B58 or N55?
Couple of things to note: I live in the US, and we didn’t get the 6 cylinder wagon. We are not getting the new G21. No, I don’t want to buy a sedan or SUV. Also, with current car market, an engine replacement is financially more feasible. If I end up swapping the engine, then the car will stay with me for as long as I can buy fuel 😂

If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
Thank you.

Since the engine you want to install is very different from the original, I guess that the cost of swapping the engine will be way beyond the cost of the engine: many other components would have to be swapped/ modified as well. So it may be financially not advisable, unless you do that only out of love, and cost is not a concern.

It will cost you around 5-6k for a built bottom end n20. Rebuilt motors are around 4k or so before labour costs and you'd be good to go for awhile.

I mean it would be fun to swing it: s55 swap

So the value of my car is around 23k. No accidents, some paint imperfections, a lot of features. My reasoning is that if I try to sell the car as is, i will lose a lot of money. Now, if I have to fix it myself, i won’t lose as much. However, I’ve always been thinking that i would love to get the engine swapped. So, other than getting a new engine (6 cylinder), what are the major things that need to be changed?

That would be amazing! But, that would be a mission that I can’t afford. The other major problem is that I live in northern part of the US with very heavy snow and AWD is needed. As much as I would love to have a manual f81, as of now, it’s out of my reach
