Long time no post!!! Lol been busy with life, mainly it's because I've had a steady gf for the past year and that's a first for me so a lot of my free time is no longer free

Anyways, I'm finally ditching my jb4/bms PI controller and going full flash using the new AIC2-V. Cary is the leading tuner when it comes to e85. He actually developed the first full e85 tune for the s55 on the stock fuel system, so I'll post up my results on this post. I also ordered a Dragy so i can post up that info too.

UPDATE 3/31/18
Alright, with the help of cookiesowns we got the PI mapping sorted out. The new AIC2-V has way more potential than I thought than the old AIC, just annoying because it uses finicky TunerProRT software. We pretty have the base map established, so all the hard work is done now, now for the fun stuff

Here is a log of Cary's base map with the PI going in 5th gear
http://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5ac020ded10b4315fc35d048

and heres one going 3-5 (skipped 4th gear on accident)
http://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5ac00213d10b4315fc35cfe8

its just the start, but damn im excited. It runs soooooo much smother than my jb4/bms controller setup. I dont miss the inconsistency at all. (P.S. not sure why my logs flat line sometimes, working on figuring that out now)

UPDATE 4/14/18
I deleted all of my back logs, I forgot I had posted them in here so the above logs are no longer around. But here's one from yesterday.

http://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5ad1317bd10b433f99df698a

He sent me another map this morning so I'm going to log that one here soon. I made some PI adjustments so hopefully that will fix the HPFP pressure drop in the beginning of the pull.

The boost up top is purposefully being held back because most of my logs flat line in the upper RPM range and we haven't been able to monitor them. I think I've figured out how to log without that happening so we're going to start upping the boost if I can get the logs right.

Nice move, I've always preferred full flash vs Piggyback, although BMS PI works very well for me good luck!

curious if you can link to the new AIC2 product.

The V is cheaper than the P. No homo lol. I don't think the P is necessary on a serious note.

Curious how this goes as well. I’m interested in having him do a custom tune for my FBO stock EWG turbo F30 335.

It's still going lol. Since I decided to go with the new AIC2-v, instead of the old aic that everyone is used to, it's all trial and error since there's tons more tables to be manipulated, it also uses tunerpro instead of the old r4 software. Hopefully once we finalize this it will be an upgrade and worth all the hassle.

Some feedback on the AIC2 in spending a few hours with it and working with @obriennathaniel remotely on it. ( 4AM nights are fun lol )

The stock documentation is actually pretty fantastic, along with the XDF's provided. While tuner pro being fairly easy to use, its comparison tools are lacking, and there's no easy shortcuts for undo and what not.

We've also found documentation lacking in the RPM department, this took a few tries to get it done right. But now it's done RPM is syncing properly. MAP sensor scaling was super easy once I found the datasheet for the N20 TMAP.

However since we only have the AIC2-V version we don't have a true baro meter, so I can't do barometric compensation yet.. still need to figure this out. But not a big deal since I plan on tuning PI to have enough of a buffer to allow DI to sort things out both ways.

It seems to react fast enough, time will tell how it holds up once we hit higher boost and rev ranges with a good solid base map that is working great with PI.

I highly recommend anyone in the future going with something like this to have actual dyno time tuning DME / AIC together for best performance.

let me know if I missed anything obriennathaniel, it was hilarious seeing you hit 19+ PSI at 6.5K RPM with 100% throttle and HPFP holding strong at 2800PSI with AFR's in the 12-13 range ( non stoich for E85. ) Car must feel strong.

I thought the TunerPro RT comparison tools were quite good once you get used to them: four comparison versions, can show differences on table or in graph as well as give you a list. The undo mechanism I think is lacking because it is designed to push realtime changes for live tuning and there it really shines, along with its low resource use and low latency. However, it does save a list of changes you make to a binary too which is useful.

I myself am not sure lol CaryTheLabelGuy is sorting them out though. We're still in the very early stages, but the fueling was my biggest issue and that part is coming right along, everything else is just tweaks here and there.

Correct, but the differences aren't as customizable as say romraider, seeing what has changed. If you re-scale axis, the comparison tools become totally off.

That makes sense, I would love to be able to live tune AIC/DME

One item to consider is that using a separate MAP sensor on the AIC2 means you don't have to tap and electrically compromise an OEM sensor and you also don't have to calibrate the AIC2 to the OEM sensor.

I don't think it's a separate sensor I can place where ever I need it, think it's just an external for barometric pressure. However if it was a sensor I could tap into the chargepipe, that would def be the route to take.

Correct...more for "High Altitude" situations (I asked as I was considering... )

Exactly. Since I'm in Houston my altitude is pretty much always the same. It would def be handy in a mountainous area though!
