Rookie question here... if you have AWD like my F31 does why are people putting different sized wheels on the front and back? I’m not a sporty driver by any means (got the M Sport for the looks) but do want to upgrade my wheel/tire package. Thoughts?

As stated previously, most BMWs come from the factory with staggered setups because it looks better, and perhaps to intentionally induce a little understeer. Those that want better handling will try to place the largest wheels/tires that fit with identical sizes front and back.

Hey, I'm about to purchase the exact same HRE Wheels that you have: HRE FF15 TARMAC 19x8.5 19x9.5.

Can you tell what size tires are the best in your opinion. I'm thinking thing about the MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4S.

Hello, There are alot of great looking cars here. Im considering putting some 433 replica 9.5/8.5 staggered 35 wheels on my f30. Its a 2018 base stock suspension. What would be a good size set of tires with the stock ride height? I dont want too much gap if possible. Maybe down the road I will lower it but for now I would like to leave it. Thanks in advance for the help.

I’m going 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 on stock suspension .6” taller than factory 225/40/18 to reduce gap. That is the biggest tires you can squeeze in there.

Thank you. Would there be room to lower it with H&R sport springs running that tire setup?

No you would need a 275/30/19 and 245/35/19. And maybe slightly narrower 265 in the rear.
