I wouldn't spend the money on this if I were you. It would barely lower your car, since you don't have a 335 or 328. I would stick with H&R sport springs and Bilstein B8 shocks.

Well I might cancel my order since I'm X-drive…. My luck they'll make a slight change for X-drive cars.

Scott was pretty confident that they will be the same springs for rwd and xdrives. He said the F10 5 series were the same for rwd and xdrive so cross your fingers!!

Correct, these are for the RWD F30 cars only, not the xDrive models. We do have an xDrive F30 in house at the moment for spring fit-checking, but we have not yet released springs for the xDrive cars. If you look at the website product page for the spring sets for the F30 cars, you’ll see that we mention in a special note that it’s not applicable for xDrive models. Which means that since your car is an xDrive, we’ll need to cancel your order (#*****). I’m forwarding this to my accounting team, and also my colleague Scott that handles Minnesota. Very sorry about that Pete, and we do hope to have the springs for the xDrive cars in the very near future! Regards, Jeff

I'll be waiting for something for the F32. I do have DHP though.

At long last, they are available!! I just ordered the kit for my 335i. Shockware is still held up in the delays related to getting through the new encryption to gain access to the ECU... but it looks like Dinan heard the message that many of us were sending them loud and clear that we're hungry for something ASAP. And I think 30% stiffer springs with matching bump stops will do a lot to improve body control.
By the way, according to the rep I spoke with yesterday, these springs are 20mm (about 3/4") lower than the base suspension, and about 1/2" (.45") lower than sport/DHP suspension. (Which is exactly what I was looking for.) Apparently the ride height difference between base and sport is only about 0.3" rather than a full 1/2"...

VIP and all others who have ordered this kit... to clarify, are you guys running them on stock sport/m-sport suspension? VIP, i remember you were planning on running a set up with the blistein shocks
also since these were made to be used in conjunction with OEM suspension, would excessive wear on the shocks still be as much of a concern as using H&R sports for example? Last edited by LAwolverine; 01-16-2014 at 12:28 PM.. |
