RMC BMWCCA needs more E9x M3s
I did my first autocross with the RMC (Rocky Mountain Chapter) of BMW CCA at Dick's Sports complex. (I'm an experienced AX guy, just my first run with this club). The club groups cars somewhat by performance, so I was running against a modded E46 M3s, a modded Mini and a heavily modded 135. I was the only E9x in my coupe.
A stock car with an air filter and a 50-50 blend of 91-100 octane would be competitive. It's a casual, friendly, laid back club, welcoming to new drivers. I didn't know anyone and felt like I left with several new friends. Come on out and join us. Oh, I came in second. The 135, with over 400 ft lbs of torque beat me by a tenth after I led the field most laps. Oh, the other good thing is that they limit registrations so that 6 to 8 runs is the norm. Dave

Have you been out to the driving schools/track days?
How is your 4.10 diff ? I did some AutoX in my E46 M3 but find that the seat time ratio is very small compared to DEs.

I set my car up with AX in mind and the 4.10 is juuust right. Now I'm looking at how wide I can go in tires without getting bumped up a class. I could use a couple of more inches of rubber at the back, but I think that 15mm may be all I can get away with. Dave
