New Wheels

Not everybody's cup of tea but went with 22" Avant Garde wheels in hyper silver. Matched it with Pirelli Scorpion tires. 265/35/22 and 295/30/22.

Also put the cargo box on to see how it looked. Got a smokin' deal that I couldn't pass up. The previous owner's wife tried to wedge herself in the garage. Luckily it didn't cause any cracks/major damage to the fiberglass.

Wheels look great man! Sporty, subtle but well suited.

Come spring time I am going to be going for more the sporty look myself. Split 5 spoke. Or something along those lines.

I love the deep lips you can get with the x5M with the aggressive rears, but I'm done spending a fortune on nice wheels and the state MA road system destroying them.

Nice - do you have third row, is that why you need the cargo box?

Yeah, I do have the third row seating. I can slap my snowboard, luggage or perhaps a space saver tire in case.

I got the thing so cheap with the rails that I couldn't resist. It was only $160......

Awesome - makes sense. I want to get the cross bars to bring a Christmas tree home from Thanksgiving in Northern Michigan but my wife kiboshed the idea.

Looks great. Are they the same width as the OEM 20s? If so, why no 315s in the back and 275s up front?

Actually they are not as wide. There are few aftermarket wheels that are 22" in the same width as oem widths..... They are 22 x 9.0 et 30, 22 x 10.5 et 24..

I chose that tire sizing because 295/30/22 on 9.0 and 335/25/22 on the 10.5 would look way too bulged on those widths.

Interesting. My friend has an X6M and he also had to go to a narrower tire when he upgraded to 22" wheels.
