Power Potential For N55, F33?
Hey guys,
kinda new to this forum in terms of posting In a year and a half or so I will have a 435ix M Sport Convertible I wanted to know with a JB4 tune (or other better tune?) what power I could be looking at? What would it take in terms of parts and money to ideally have somewhat of a sleeper convertible with like 450ish horsepower? Is it possible? I didnt know until tody that the N54 has two seperate turbos and then N55 lny has a single double chamber turbo Any advice would help! |

It's up to you how far you want to go. A jb4 and a downpipe with some good gas will give you a pretty quick car. Probably high 12's unless you live on the top of a mountain. That's under a $1000 bucks for the jb4 and the downpipe. Install is easy DIY for the jb4 and a little more involved with the downpipe but very doable.

Significant advancements in F series tunes will be had by that time. If you were ready now, your 450ish "sleeper" is a reality with JB4 or JB4 with Flash on 93 pump fuel. Higher numbers are possible now (upwards of 650whp) with higher fueling and FBO mods . .

And yeah that's the other thing, epseiclly since it's a convertible weighing 500 lbs more than a coupe, i need more power to be faster than normal and tuned coupes, but you htink with a few grand i can be in the 5-600s? |

No way, not for a few grand. I'm in the 470whp range on pump gas only. You can see my Enzo Build Thread HERE for what it took to get it there... .

www.n54tech.com has all the answers - and I literally mean ALL the answers you could possibly have about tuning your N55.

Chargepipes+Diverter= 800$ CAD (Both inlet and normal) Flash tune= 900$ Intake=600$ Downpipe=600$ Intercooler=1600$ Catback exhaust=2000$ Everything up top should give about 400WHP. Everything below the line is extra ------------------------------------------ Stage 2 Turbo= 4000$ HPFP=1500$ Meth kit= 1500$? (Never used meth before) JB4 for boost controller= 1000$ All pricing is in CAD. Most people buy JB4 and think it's that easy to have a faster modded car, but what they don't know is, you have to go safe mode and make sure your car can support the power (chargepipes) Last edited by lens; 04-19-2016 at 07:26 AM.. |

It's my mom's car she wants to pass down to me. I could potentially choose my dads but it would have many more miles, but its a coupe, same engine thought so theyre the same minus the convertible at the end of the day

What about the safety and reliability of the car after all these mods? Since most are bolt on can i take them all off and return to stock? |

Everything requires a lift to make your life easier. But yes, you can take them all off and return to stock, but be wary it's going to cost alot to do so as most pieces take around 1-2 hours each to drop and replace if you're not a DIY person. |
