BMW makes specific screws to reattach those pieces for repair, same ones used for door pull repairs, so I used 13 screw total to attach everything back together and replaced the door pull at the same time since it had to be taken off anyway. I forgot to take a picture of what it looked like with the screws in, but they hold it very tight, thread in perfectly (well, create threads in the plastic holes that are there but bottom out at the perfect depth). Very easy to pop the tops of those rivets off with a drill as is detailed elsewhere. Honestly, I think the armrest feels more solid after being screwed on, and I also think there is less creaking and rattling over bumps, so they hold it very well

Yup, makes sense. I've done the sticky handles 5/6 times now so am familiar .

Guys, it's really interesting to read your comments. You motivate me to do something with my car as well. If only I had the money. The car costs C$1500 per month just for maintenance ($500 loan, $600 insurance (new driver), and $400 for gas). For now, I'm just trying to get the car in good technical shape. I've installed new Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 tires and bought a new OEM battery. My plans are to activate CarPlay, which the previous owner hadn't activated, and after paying off the loan soon, to switch the oil from 0W20 to 5W30, replace the spark plugs, and do a Stage 1 tune.
I ordered Nextzett Cockpit Premium – Interior Cleaner & Finish for myself; I still need to order something for the plastic and probably for the exterior.

New low pressure fuel pump. 86k MI. There's been some various codes, low pressure fuel pump, implausible this and that etc. And sitting at a light it will have a little hiccup at idle. It's done that for years, even on original engine, but it had been getting way more frequent. Seems fixed. It was a little tricky to get the thing to sit down in there right. There's a plastic hose that you have to deal with down in there, that thankfully I did not break. I did not get the seat belt buckles up through the seat yet, by far the worst part.

I bought the wrench tool to take the lock ring off from Burger motorsports. I accidentally put two in the cart and have an extra one. If anybody is looking at doing a fuel pump job I can ship it over for less than retail. It worked okay.

Also can't beat a fresh set of the NGK 94201's at 0.22. they only had 13,000 miles on them but were definitely good to change. It sounds so much more energetic.

Don’t mind the engine bay being so dirty. Pollen season -_- but had to share because it worked the way I planned. Now to relocate the oil catch can and hello mini s20

The n20 and n55 f chassis share the same MAF sensor housing but the pin layout is different.

Finally finished this project. I had to abandon the single clamp as it didnt allow enough downward adjustment to align with the low beams. Now sporting two clamps and a cross bar bracket. Since I had the bumper off I decided to upgrade my DRLs to yellow. Not for everyone, but I like it! On/off and intensity controlled by the knob on the Kuda phone mount. Cheers!

Just replaced the wrap on the upper hatch piece I put a little hole in last year that was bugging me so it was time to add the F31 emblem I bought on ebay a while back. I think a New Jersey BMW club makes them. I was debating it, but I think it adds a unique touch. LCI tails are next when I've got free time.

Killer color! I love those wheels, do you have a side shot of them on the car? Planning to buy some new ones this summer for my F31

Have always hated the cheap looking single exit exhaust for the 328d, but sadly no aftermarket options exist for this car that have dual tips. A 335/340 muffler swap is not feasible on the 328d unless you delete emissions equipment (not present on the euro 320d) which I cannot do in NoVA as we have strict emissions testing here. Long story short, I spent too much money importing an OEM 320d M performance part (18-30-2-296-889) and having a local shop custom fit it to my car. All that said, I'm pretty happy with the results given the limitation of options, and the car finally looks like it deserves its 328 nomenclature now.

That reminds me I need new front floor mats. The Velcro on mine came off. I repaired them, but it didn’t last. Still waiting for that nice weather.

took off my bimmertech power trunk today, stretching the trunk spring back on was a pain in the ass.

bimmertech’s support consisted of asking to check continuity and checking fuses, couldn’t give me any support beyond that. i honestly think this is what you get when you don’t develop the kit but rather resell it. i’m sure their support is only good for installation issues, not technical issues.

lasted me 3-4 years, wouldn’t recommend it to others given that it’s $700.

upon removal there were zero signs of water, wear, or damage, whatever went wrong was internal with their modules.

have to source a new trunk carpet now since mine has a hole cutout of it
